That happened in 1945 with the Judiciary Police.
Judiciary Police mission,with their elements highly well trained in tecnic-scientific area,and by it self,carry proofs with investigation tactics ,to in factual and juridic plans sustain acusations that can lead to trial.
This police corps is well know and considered one of the best in Europe,even with small budgets.
Since Casa Pia affair, that's still in judgement ,what we see is midia notices,cirurgically writed to make a bad idea about it.
Obviously,as in any other police,we had some problems,cause the police is made by men.

I,myself have a great admiuration for those men.
I know a few,but since i was a boy that i admire that ppl.
How many of them sacrifice their own families when investigating month after month a drug net,a criminal,etc.
So many use often their own resources,as cars,gas,etc. to search a criminal.
RESPECT THEM AS I DO.
